LOCKOUT / TAGOUT SAFETY TRAINING

Overview of OSHA Standard

The OSHA Standard 1910.147 entitled “Control of Hazardous Energy Sources” requires detailed training for all employees involved in maintenance, repair, setup or other activities involving exposure to electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic or other energy sources.  Safe-Site’s training program addresses all of the education requirements required by OSHA regulations.

Course Description

Job-site training on lockout/tagout along with hands-on demonstration and exercises, including an evaluation of each trainee's ability to understand how to lockout an energy source in similar working conditions. Other exercises emphasized will be how to recognize hazardous energy sources, type and magnitude of energy available in a workplace, how to isolate and control energy, and how to use the Company’s energy control procedures.  All training will be conducted by a competent safety professional. Retraining will take place when any changes occur, making the previous training obsolete.
